As a strategy in my Tengu, I load Scourge Precision missiles before jumping into this room in order to kill frigates faster. I’ve tried a T2 fit Tengu (T3 cruiser) and it crumpled and I had to warp out. Hence, I go into a room with the Tengu first, get all the agro on the Tengu, then I bring in the DPS ship (not true for the 7th room). Odd drone-built constructions dominate the scene, serving as maintenance platforms for the resident automated machinery. Supposedly, if you have this skill trained, you can “repair” this gate, and skip room three. Successful AED usage by lay-persons is currently at 20%. One of the toughest things about a 10 10 mission is that you have to travel to a system that is at least 11 jumps away from the system where you killed the anomaly that gave you the mission. This is critical, because if the Kuari Strain Mother ship switches targets from your tank ship (like my Tengu), then it will target one of the Hammerheads instead of the DPS ship (like my Nightmare). As an example, if my Nightmare gets caught in a room and gets primaried by the drones in the room, I have to warp it out immediately – it just crumples. In my carrier I have all of the ships that I will use for the mission. The first six rooms contain missile batteries, frigates, cruisers and battleships. It can take quite a while for all the drones in the room to finally target the primary tank ship (in this case, the Tengu). Because the last room of the 10 10 mission is very tough on tanks, I have painstakingly reviewed and refined my Tengu fit for 10 10 missions. Once you get all of your ships (two or more) in the mission system, you need to prepare a safe spot in the system in case you get in trouble. Of course, be careful getting your loot out of system and back to your home system. Also, I am not aware of any single ship that can complete the 10 10 drone mission by itself.
